Dr. Kvint’s report on meetings, consultations, and research : September/October 2007

During September, Dr. Kvint was kept busy with the textbook that he is writing on the Global Emerging Market. He also continued his research on the economics of ethanol production and distribution.

He gave lectures and speeches in the Altay region of Siberia, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Crimea (Ukraine), and the United States (Wagner College, NY).

He met and consulted with the President of Turkmenistan, H.E. Dr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedow, the President of Serbia, H.E. Boris Tadic, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, H.E. Ivailo Kalfin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, H.E. Minister Karel Schwarzenberg, H.E. 1st Deputy Speaker of Crimean Verkhovna Rada (Parliament), H.E. Mr. Sergey Tsekov, the Prime Minister of Crimea, H.E. Viktor Plakida, the Ambassador of Russia to Ukraine, H.E. Mr. Victor S. Chernomyrdin, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Government of Russia, H.E. Dr. Vladimir A. Shamakhov, the Mayor of Moscow, H.E. Yuri Luzhkov, the Governor of the Altay region, H.E. Dr. Alexander B. Karlin among several other governmental officials. The meetings and consultations were regarding of economic development, regional energy security and ethanol production and distribution.

He participated at the meetings of Board of Directors at several companies and non-governmental organizations.
